Why not see Kimi voted as driver of the day Sunday ? :drinking:

His helmet is a replica of the helmet he wore on his first race too. Fckn ninjas cutting onions near me.

It would be amazing if all drivers lined up to the sides of the starting line, at the end of the race, and make a hallway for Kimi to drive in between and cross the finish line one last time.

They should just let him through at the start and let him get a full lap in and then everybody can duke it out behind him lol

They might do some donuts like they did with Alonso in 2018, that brought tears to my eyes. But the old fox is back now :burnrubber:

Everyone goes up to him and asks him a question on air after the race.
Finished with a hug from each.

XD

I'm pretty sure that both Lewis and Max (including their team mates)will be read the riot act before the race, and told to keep it clean. I expect they will behave because I am sure no one wants to win the championship controversially at the end of the day.

Good news then, as there isn't going to be any racing. They decided halfway through the season to take a track that heavily favors Merc and modify it to suit Merc even more. They'll qualify a half second ahead of the rest of the field and sail away from the start.

Part of me thinks he’d hate that.

We also would never be able to tell whether he's happy about it or upset with it.

So Max on pole after a pretty brilliant team tactic. Found it quite odd that Mercedes didn’t try to give a tow to Lewis/Bottas.

HAM interview on making P2: “Im grateful I can see where he is…”
That was a funny touch.

Go Lando!

The only reason I can fathom is that they know that at the beginning they aren't racing the same race with the tire differences.

But even then this seems to be another Merc dum moment.

Correct, I think maybe they’re thinking about the longterm strategy. But then, even without the Perez Tow, Max was still quick thru the sectors. Kind off a bad moment for Mercedes to be sand-bagging at this stage of the championship, if they are. Bottas completely off-pace and if Perez overtakes Lando, is going to be a nightmare for Lewis to be fighting 2 RBs.

Man Max does wonders in the slower car, 10 poles! That's gotta be a record for fastest qualifying without the fastest car.

TommyW 12-11-2021 01:57 PM

Wondering if the slingshot move will be banned next season. It didn't look like Max was close enough to Checo for a decent tow but at those speeds it must have been sufficient

Capt Spaulding 12-11-2021 02:26 PM

I'm interested in seeing of the new approach to aero changes the towing dynamics.
