It doesn't give anything away, the scene when Nikki meets Marlene could be it's own short and I'd pay to have a copy. Great movie and easily the best part.

The actor that played Lauda did an outstanding job, absolutely brilliant.

To be fair they both did great jobs, there's some comparison gifs of the interviews between Hunt and Moss, Hemsworth pretty much nailed the bravado.

It's gonna be a wet one... Tropical Storm "Fitow" headed for South Korea.

LOL

Good--let it pour, so maybe somebody else will have a chance...

Aaaaand another Vettel pole position. So what are we going to see tomorrow? 5 second gap by lap 3? Lead every lap again? I'll probably watch the first 10 minutes and promptly turn it right off.

Finally saw Rush though! What an epic movie! That's what racing is about! A clash of characters fighting to the last bit against all odds! I wonder what Niki over in AMG now thinks of Vettel's snooze-fest dominance the last four years....

Fingers crossed that Rosberg overshoots the corner taking Vettel out of the race.

I doubt it though. The drivers at the front of the grid are all pretty good at not screwing up on the opening corner.

cfusionpm 10-05-2013 04:08 PM

Not like it matters, Vettel would have to DNF 3 races to affect the outcome of the WDC.

Thanks Pirelli.

Maybe someone should protest their traction control system.

Supposedly they're are using their KERS system to limit engine output (recharge mode) when the tires slip. They have no TC system but they are using a legal means to replicate a TC function. All the other teams know about this, non of them are doing it and I am completely dumfounded that nobody has gone to the FIA to complain, especially considering how Christian Horner bitches to the FIA about everything everyone else does (Brawn GP with the defusers, Merc, Pirelli...).

Well, as an alternative, the Indycar Houston double header is today and tomorrow. Race #1 is on now. Rotten luck for Dixon the last two races that might wind up giving Castroneves his first Championship.

Watched first few laps on the DVR this morning. Vettel with 2 second gap after 1 lap and held around 3 second gap until lap 5 or 6. Switching it off, going to work, will check the results online. Don't think I need to see anything else to tell me Vettel will walk away again. Alonso also looked terrible and probably wont even podium. :iono:

I'm a Hmaliton fan. The last 4 years, F1 has been the "Vettel show" and I'm getting tired of hearing him scream "YES!YES" and I'm tired of hearing the German national Anthem.

I'd like to see what happens if Vettel and Hamilton were to switch cars. Vettel is awesome, no doubt, but IMO he/his car have an advantage that isn't legal, like traction control.

Vettel is an adaptable driver and Newey has built him a rocket ship that no one else can touch. For some perspective, Adrian Newey will have 15 or so championships to his name by the end of this season, and the remarkable thing is that's with a lot ofdiff erent teams. People try to downplay Neweys involvement to boast Vettels driving, but other than a stint by Schumacher in Ferrari, Neweys cars have almost all been world champions since the early 90s.

OK, ended up watching the GP... it was actually pretty eciting... well if you just ignore Vettel, which thankfully the cameras did most of the race. The Hulk/Alo/Kimi/Web battle was very fun to watch, Perez tire exploded, Rosberg's front end snapped to some pretty sparks, and Webber caught fire again. Race outcome sucked because the only real contender ended in 6th while Vettel takes another win. Mathematically, Newey can lock up the championship by the conclusion of Suzuka.... even though everyone knew they would take it as soon as Pirelli gifted them the tires they bitched about. :/

But since no one else really cares about Vettel anymore, or the WDC, they can fight for WCC points (and dollars) as well as make riskier moves, since there's less to lose in terms WDC of points.

webbers crash on the thermal camera was the best moment of the race for me im trying to find a good enough pic on the net to put it on a canvas.

i dont watch F1 anymore to see who wins i watch to see how the real drivers fight amoungst themselves for the minor placing, for F1's sake the rule changes better stop vettels dominance because they are going to start loosing viewers at an alarming rate like when schumacher was winning, although that was different people actually liked that german.

also seeing how alonso, kimi and co are driving with such inferior cars really shows that if it werent for this "traction control" vettel would be nowhere

cfusionpm 10-07-2013 01:09 PM

I think people like Schumacher because he demonstrated the ability to win in a mediocre car. He had a dominating run in Ferrari, but that wasn't always the case. Vettel on the other hand has routinely had the fastest car (by a considerable margin in 11 and 13), and only really does well in clean air at the front. If he has to actually work his way through a field and, god forbid, actually race someone, he struggles and gets frustrated. If Vettel were in the donkey tank Ferrari that Alonso has, I can guarantee he would be sitting middle of the pack all season.
