Even from the team perspective, it would only remotely make sense if Lewis was retiring this year and it was already decided Werhlein was taking his place.

Also, Nico has just gotten painful to watch. Every time he has to go wheel to wheel with Lewis he chokes, and then goes into whiny bitch mode afterwards.

Given the outcome of the last 3 races, Lewis really should have given up his seat to Wehrlein. It would have taken the wind out of Nico's sails - he still would have won, but Lewis wouldn't have lost.

Well glad that shit pile of a season is done. As an Alonso fan, that's all it was for me...

For once - and it pains me to admit this - he's not wrong. The penalties were laughable this season.

The problem is, I see things as they are and not the way I want them to be. Do you think it's right when Fernando Alonso—you've probably heard of him, he's a former world champion—is at the back of the starting grid? Is it right that a driver changes his engine, qualifies in third place and then has to start from 13th? Is that right?

Formula One is crap. Right now, we need to look at these things. The public has no understanding for that. They watch the race, know that someone has qualified second or third but is now suddenly starting from the middle of the grid. And why? Because they've changed their engine. Or their gearbox. We can solve this problem, but we can't wait several years.

Read yesterday that the usual first out driver, Pastor Maldonado, will not have a seat his year.

I'm kind of torn on this....sometimes it was the most entertaining part of the race to see how much carbon fiber he could leave all over the track. I'm hoping for a much closer season in terms of racing. Williams was a huge let down last season after being so close to Mercedes AMG but at least Ferrari was making steps in the right direction after cleaning house.

Interesting. PDVSA is in financial trouble and isn't following through on their sponsorship commitments. Like (Lotus) Renault need another financial problem...

I'm glad someone with actual talent like K-Mag got the seat over a pay driver. That's how it should be. I'm happy to see Magnussen back on the grid. I won't miss Maldonado

Bernie is responsible for a lot of what is wrong with F1. The shit list of tracks, the insane cost of hosting F1 races, the poor media coverage etc etc. However, there is also a laundry list of shit that Bernie is not responsible for like mentioned here. He doesnt chose the cars or the format of racing. The FIA and the teams are responsible for all that garbage.

The spectacles Crashtor caused and not caused was one of the last remaining highlights of the modern F1 world, that's the sole reason one would miss him. But I'm glad Kevin found a seat, man McLaren was cold dumping a driver on his birthday. Williams is doing pretty decent last year considering their budget.

I'm diggin' the new Renault car
