The only time a rota is a "bad" wheel is if you do something like run into a curb at a high speed or hit a deep pothole at a high wheel, which I guess would make all wheels "bad"

Plenty of Global time attack cars running rotas and a lot of people running them on a track and street as well, you'll be fine on your street car, the only time you'll have issues is if you run into something, as you will with any other wheel you put on your car as well.

I think Rota's get a bad rap, i had a set of DPT's i got from Wheeldude and i thought the quality was nice. The designs are copies on a lot but the new RT5 is awesome, i was going to get them but found something cheaper that suited my size and tire size needs better but i absolutely love the way they look. These look good too, finish and weights are both nice. Wheeldude will also take care of you too so i don't see any reason not to run them.

Wedsport TC105n 17x8 =14.85lbs
Rota Titans 17x8 =17.1

Sorry couldn't resist specially when the real weds aren't too expensive anyways. Yes I know not everyone cares...

JoeBoxer 01-03-2013 01:04 AM

17 pounds is still light and the Weds aren't super expensive but still about double what you can get these for. Different strokes for different folks, i bought some Gram Lights because i was being a wheel snob and am changing them out now, they are nice but more rim than i need to be happy.

Hmm The weight and availability might sway me to get these rather than track down or powder coat (bronze) rpf1s.

Just seeing if you have an answer for this question. Thanks.

I just got these bad boys in, thanks Wheeldude for making these available. Ordered them back in Jan. Here are some teaser pics. The wheels are being wrapped in 235/40/17 Dunlop Direzza ZII's. I will have them on this Friday and will post pics once they are on.

Not bad. Lowered?

John86 03-13-2013 09:01 PM

Which color are these? Bronze? They really seem to shift depending on the light. They look good!

Boosted 03-13-2013 09:21 PM

Yes, it is lowered on buddy club racing coilovers (about a inch). The wheels seem to be more of a gold color. I will get better pics once they are on.
