i purchased 5 sets... 3 are sold, one is on my car... one guy backed out of the deal because he didn't buy an FR-S... i have one set left... they costed $300 landed including all taxes, shipping, levies, etc...
asking $300... simple to install... ratchet with T40 bit and no.3 phillips bits required... can install at no additional charge... in Vancouver, and will ship within canada at no additional charge... info: http://www.trdparts.jp/english/86_pe...s_chassis.html http://www.trdparts.jp/english/86_pe...stabilizer.jpg |

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8395 Seller might have imported directly from Japan... shrug. |
Sounds like it considering OP is a employee of a scion/toyota dealership
This is why I never ship anything to Canada GL with sale tho |
long story short... had i ordered this along with a larger order, i'd prolly have saved on shipping... and yes, i did ship directly from japan to canada... i also got ever so slightly screwed on this as well as they were couriered over, rather than normal freight... and yet, they STILL took forever to show up...
price just reflects what i paid... it's actually paid for by the guy who backed out, but i'd like to get his girlfriend her money back for something they'll never use... feel free to offer something... worst thing that can happen is i say no... :) oh yeah... i've driven my car with these on... and yeah, there's a difference... truenosan, dajoian and one other guy (neil) on this board also were part of this purchase... maybe they'll chime in on their effectiveness... |
They definitely feel a lot more solid when you close and open the doors. As for the driving experience, I haven't driven it fast enough to tell you but I'll let ya'll know when the winter season is over.

Price from there, converted to CDN $. |
I've heard these mentioned a few times, what does it actually do?
|
suppose to make a more stiff chassis as the TRD holds the doors better
cool part but I can;t afford that |
not so much that they hold the doors better, but they take up the gap between the door jamb and then door... so with no gap, the doors cannot move up/down or back/forth... which adds to chassis torsional rigidity...
jay, i do agree that $300 can be steep for this kit... i'm only trying to recover some costs for someone else and i'm willing to do the leg work (shipping if required) or installation... which can account for a lot considering most people don't have the tools to install these... if anyone decides they need to see these before they purchase, i would be happy to show them on my own car... but you'd have to meet me at my house as my car isn't getting driven for winter... |
