hehehe, true. However I just hope they get it right this time, not like the last time I tried to get wingo tinted and they fucked up totally.

Thanks ! Hey Can you do the forum a favor? Can you Record in HD at day time and then at night time two clips of your rear tail lights off.. and then on and signaling and hazards on please this would really help give me the idea how it looks at both day at night for buyers to make a decision.

Here you go, hope this helps. I tried to cover 3 different light settings go get you a good idea of the brightness. However, youtube converted the video a bit crappy, so it looks not as bright as the original movie material was.

never was a big fan of black roofs, however thinking about a black stripe on the left 1/3 of the car. But I guess I'll just leave it as it is for now :-)

True the way your car looks I would do the same. I'm trying to see people who have vinyl wraps on the roof to see how it looks with the same mods like yours. I have another question. Do you have the Rear Diffuser installed on your car?

Not sure what you mean with diffuser. The Toyota Kit comes with a little Rear bumper addition in the middle, but I would not really call it a diffuser, as its rather optical than functional I guess

Not much changed since the last update. Basically, Wingo only got his windows tinted, thats about all that happened.

However, it starts to finally get warmer over here, and the mountain roads are accessible again (they are closed over winter due to massive snow)

Well, I took Wingo for a quick spin over one of the "smaller" Mountain roads after work today, as the bigger ones are still closed. The whole tour only took me about 4 hours, but had to hurry back home because weather got quiet nasty (you see some clouds already forming on the pictures)

Anyway, made some pictures for you guys, hope you enjoy the scenery as I did. I downsized and compressed the pictures so it wont take forever to load them :-) Hope quality is still good enough

hanabie 06-13-2013 06:34 PM

did you use polarizer?

GuerillaRacing 06-13-2013 06:40 PM

Awesome pics, do you mind if we post one to our Facebook page?

Not intentionally at least :-) I used the "auto" function on the cam as I only took some snapshots today. Had to hurry because weather got bad and had to move out of the mountain area before the weather hits me.

Thank you. Feel free to reuse the pictures aslong as you respect the source/copyright (basically not watermarking them so ppl think it has been done by you etc)

Of course, the photo won't be modified at all - thank you!! :thanks:

hanabie 06-13-2013 06:58 PM

you need a polarizer especially shooting against the sky background. It will give you a better result with better color.

gorgeous ride really like what you've done w/ it made me come out of lurking just to comment :)

hands0me 06-16-2013 07:04 AM

bro, nice car and nice pic !

white_knight 06-16-2013 09:54 AM

Epic photos bro.

Sarlacc 06-16-2013 11:01 AM

A polarizing filter will not adjust the color temperature, like in the examples above. That example is IMHO doctored and not realistic.
The effect is mostly seen as darker, more vivid sky, and it will also reduce reflections in glass etc.
You don't NEED a polarizing filter, but get one to play with if you're a gadget freak like me :-)
(I have 2.... ;-)

tripjammer 06-18-2013 02:02 AM

Wow bro! Those pics....simply marvelous! Makes me want to go up into the mountains and take some pics...oh wait we ain't got no real mountains in Texas...oh wait there is a few out in west Texas...maybe I will hit up Big Ben national park....

914_WHITE_FRS 06-24-2013 01:05 AM

Hi bee I'm getting the SB smoke valenti Tail lights like yours but USDM sometime next week! Can't wait!

autogyro 06-24-2013 06:33 AM

Killerbee, your car is one of the few on these forums that I draw true inspiration from and gives me ideas on how to mod my 86 once I get one.

USDM/JDM/EDM its basically the same. The first batch just got sent out being wired wrong from factory, and therefore being claimed they are JDM. However EDM and JDM are the same, still I had to rewire mine. So, you're really getting proper jdm stuff there ;-) Be sure to post up some picutres once installed.

Thanks for those kind words. I try to keep the original spirit of the car and yet giving it a decent personal touch without going to far. However, I find myself also struggling any other day not to go full TRD fanboy and buying crap like a TRD Tank filler cap for 40 USD and putting tons of stickers on the car;-) Its a hard life I tell you :-)
When is your 86 scheudled to arrive? And what specs?

Panda Grahams 06-28-2013 02:18 PM

My favorite car on the site. Beautiful.

For now, just some teaser pictures of the Video to come

VesperLynn 07-01-2013 07:09 PM

Killerbee, it's photos like those that make me hate you.

You have so much fun ._.

HeubergerMotors 07-01-2013 07:34 PM

Beautiful car, I can't get enough of your guy's scenery!!!!

HeubergerMotors 07-01-2013 07:35 PM

With the Poloarizer it decreases stops of light.

Also I'd suggest a Nice UV Filter

jybrd 07-01-2013 10:45 PM

Love everything about this car!!! This is what I wished mine looked like

switchlanez 07-02-2013 01:31 PM

Well the wing is what makes the statement! The more I see this car though the more I wish I had a full on Toyota 86. That front lip with the rocketbunny and those skirts would be pure heaven for me.

chadstyle 07-03-2013 08:36 AM

Love the lights too...car is looking sick man!! Beautiful scenery in the pics too...south Florida sucks for cool driving spots. Wish I still lived in SoCal......

True, however, not sure why :-) I guess it rather gives me the "ready to go" feeling... this and I always have soooo many dead insects on my front :-) but its a good point, I'll try to do some more front shots in future

What about Sebring, isnt that in Florida (even if its not that south) We dont even have a race track in the whole country :-(
But south florida makes it up with the beach, and ofc the road to key west. Been at least 10 times in Florida in my life, and planning next spring to be there again. Its just such a nice place.

Today is happy Badge Day :-)

Actually, I did expect my Grazio&Co 86Piston Side Emblems in matt black to arrive, which would finally complete my black/white look. However, Japanparts did send me the wrong emblems, so I ended up with Black Chrome T Mark Emblems.
I have to admit the black chrome looks killer, but still, wont fit into my "color" design so I'll have to check with japanparts what to do with them.
However I made a picture with the GT86 Badges I did procure for some in this forum, so you can compare the color from black chrome to normal chrome. However it does look way better in real live than on pictures.

If anyone is interessted in one of the GT86 Badges, just hit me up. Had one person change his mind so I got that one up for sale.

Drzdude 07-17-2013 02:39 PM

Car looks great!
Is the wing bolted to the trunk, or is it one piece?
