Wingo got lowered on Eibach Pro-Kit springs today, so I took it out for a spin to get some pictures.
Sadly the weather is not that good, so wingo got dirty on the way to the photo location. Anyway, I still hope you like the pictures |
Wingo is looking way better!! Did you notice a difference in ride quality from OEM to Eibach Pros?

How do you like that spoiler ? Have you tested it at enough speed or tracked it and seen if it's functional on our cars ?

Wingo had to get checked out by the authorities today. Almost every change we do over here needs to get signed off by the gouverment (something like the DMV in the US) so I had to show them the new wheels and suspension setup. Was quiet funny, they took about 10 Minutes to check on my paperwork and see if the installation was done correctly, and another 20 Minutes to chat with me about the car, checking out the engine bay and making me compliments how nice the car looked.
Anyway, Wingo passed, so I took the rest of the day to cross the border to germany and to have some fun in the Black Forrest. When I arrived, my fuel average was 8.6l/100km, when I left 2 hours later, it was 11.6l/100km :-) Wingo is a blast to drive, with the new tires and suspension setup the car makes sooooo much fun. I've been driving some other real nice cars in the Black forrest (like S2000, 350z, 200sx etc) and never had so much fun with a car like with the GT86. It was also a good chance to get the eibach springs tested, and I will make a "review" of them later this week. For now, just some crappy Iphone pictures. As I decided spontanious to invade germany I did not take my GoPro or Digital Cam with me, sorry for that. |
looking forward to your review on the springs.
could i trouble you for pics from showing the height drop different angles and where the tyre actually starts, especially rear. Was thinking of the same set up but 245/40/18 on the rear.... how do you think that would sit? |

As for 245/40/18, this will "lift" your car about 1.4cm from the ground, and also will look a bit strange as it will add some more "offroad tires" look to it. Also your speedo will be about -4km/h off. I wouldnt do it, as I see no benefit of having 245/40/18 when you can get 245/35/18 which are better in relation to the factory specs |

some new parts arrived today. I'm still missing my JPM package, however USPS send the package to New Zealand and not to Switzerland, for whatever reason (not sure how you can mix up switzerland and new zealand) Happened to me before, and if it would not delay the delivery for about 3 weeks, it would almost be funny as New Zealand is about on the other side of the Globe to Switzerland :-)
Anyway, to the bits that did arrive: First, got my XXR replacement wheel - sadly XXR seems to have some issues matching chromium black color. More about that here http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32195 Then my Toyota Armrest has arrived, but I did not have time yet to mount it. I guess this will be done over the weekend. However, I love it, it looks and feels perfect, matches the color of the leather/red stiching exactly and is just what I wanted in the car in the first place. I also got Wingos Name plates from Yospeed. David from Yospeed was sooooo helpfull and the results of the plates is just awesome. I can only highly recommend him and his products. Was not sure on color or subject, so I ordered two plates, but decided in the end that the silver decepticon logo fits better, so thats what got installed. Next plans are to get the XXR Wheels sorted out, some smoked Taillights should arrive in 3-4 weeks, and maybe USPS will manage to get the JPM package to me after all ;-) |
Nice car :) ! I noticed the front turn signals went the silver way too, was it easy to do or a pain in the a** ?

I'd say without the kit it takes you 5Minutes to change it, with the Kit its 10-15 and your hand hurts afterwards :-) |

Weather is crap outside so I took my extra time to install the armrest.
I did take my time and rechecked measurments about 585903 times, so it took me about 2 hours. However, can be done easy in 1 hour if you're used to install stuff. Super happy with it, I also moved my Ipod/Iphone cable into the center console, so its hidden now under the armrest and no cable flying around anymore |
Really enjoy these journals here, like seeing all the things people do, that said your car is fantastic!
I do really like your last entry, that would be the ticket for the Arm rest, low profile and functional is that something you had made or is it actually something one can buy? |
