Today for me is a sad day, as I will be closing the Car Journal of Wingo.

As mentioned earlier, I did buy an WRX STI about a month ago. Since then I maybe driven Wingo 2-3 times, and both times I realised that I was always looking forward to switch into the STI again.
So I came to the decision it makes no sence to keep two cars (and paying about 2000USD a year on parking space costs per car) if I rarely use it and also do not have fun when using it.

So I sold Wingo last friday, and while he is still with me for another week, he will be picked up next week from his new owner. At least I am happy it is someone who loves the car and I'm sure will take good care of him.

As for me, I will surely stay part of this forum, as this community really grown to my heart, and I hope I am anways still welcome here without an GT86 in my garage.

So sad, but pretty normal, the end of one project and the start of another. Enjoy the STI

Having followed it around on some amazing roads in Schwarzwald and the alps, I will always remember Wingo with fondness :-)

speaking of it, any plans coming back again for another round with maybe less fog? :-)

Funfact, about 2 days after I bought the STI I told my Girlfriend "since I do have an AWD car now, shall we make that roadtrip to the nordic as we have been speaking about the past 5 years" and it looks that way really may be doing this next year now. I will let you know asap once we started to plan our Holidays for next year

Thank you, I love the WRB, if toyota would have WRB in their lineup Wingo would have ended up in blue :-)

I would say fun is about the same, but the STI is just waaaayyy more comfortable, and as a big bonus to me, I can fit my whole guitar rig into the car when I have a gig. With wingo, I always had to take my secound car (Celica) for this job.

Does.... the wing obscure vision out the rear view?

No, at least not with my size (im 195cm, so about 6'4) and I could not see it in the rear view mirror. If you're smaller you may notice it, however its like seeing "the roof", weird, but not an issue or obscuring view in a big way
