Subaru got jealous of TRD having their "door stabilizers". :D
(I kid, mostly because I know the door stabilizers work. Good to see Subaru producing more unique goodies! ) |
Still waiting for SPT to release these parts.

This is now showing available on the STi site - http://www.sti.jp/parts/catalogue/br...0118AS000.html |
I had J-Parts "stock" it just for giggles. Over six hundge. Ouchie. http://japanparts.com/db/parts_detai...=43&submit.y=3
The comparable GR/GV and BM/BR parts are just over three and the SH is directly comparable at 618. Meh. |

For that matter, can someone explain what this part does. I mean, I'm guessing this goes under the car somewhere and gets tightened into place, holding parts together. But what parts? Thanks guys. |
GR/GV - Current model WRX/STi
BM/BR - Current model Legacy Sedan, Wagon and Outback SH - Current model Forester J-Parts - japanparts.com hundge - one hundred US dollars It's another trick part from the minds at Subaru Tecnica International, Subaru's aftermarket tuner arm. It will tighten the suspension in handling and steering by connecting the suspension to the chassis. Quote:

I've owned old Honda's in the past which had rare Mugen goodies on them which were either hard to come by, or not often purchased. Although there are a dozen companies out there that make the same parts, which do the same job, for cheaper, there is something about having the OEM sister companies parts on your car that feels good.
I know some see it as a waste of money, but this is the first car of the 18 cars/projects I've owned in my 20 years of driving that I think I'll actually keep for a really long time and I think this will make me the happiest 10-15 years down the road. |
QFT. This is exactly why I am on an OEM+ build path. These are the kind of parts that really excite me. The price tag really hurts on some of them though.

^ Yeah. I know my build will go much slower by paying Sti parts prices, but I view this build as a long term project. :D
|
Ok so where exactly does this part connect??

Front cross member to chassis.
Installed on a GR STi - http://www.iwsti.com/forums/gr-suspe...bilsteins.html |

Apparently they don't recommend running it without a STB. Also, most of the reviews coming out of Japan think its a good part. |
Yep, they will be used in combination with the Strut Bar and/or any other applicable chassis stiffeners.
|
Ahh... Very helpful thanks Beyer Subaru.
That review on STi sounds positive. He indicates it doesn't feel quite as tight as his SPT ladder brace, but still does feel good. I'm guessing if you compared this to stock setup without an ladder brace comparo it would be noticeable over stock config. Color me interested... |
Yep, it should be very comparable to all the rigid parts already out - Kansai, Monster, Cusco, TRD, etc. The price is two to three times the cost of the rigid parts though.

Which one did you use? Thanks. |
HI,
I saw the description on the STI website. http://www.sti.jp/parts/catalogue/brz_zc6/ST20118AS000.html It wrote this in the end " For under cover inner mounting, position of the damper unit has a different left and right." (I use Google translate) I am not quite sure the meaning. Will this match the LHD or only match the RHD? It also mention that " I'm developing on the assumption made Kyochaku STI flexible tower bar and (part number ST20502AS000)" However, I use Grimmspeed strut tower bar, not STI one. Do you think that still worth or good idea to combo these two together? Thanks a lot. |
