Loudest to Quietest Exhaust System list (FRZ/BRZ)
I have been seeing a lot of random posts about if an exhaust is quiet or loud. I simply wanted to take what we know as reference compared to other systems and put them in order for the sake of clutter on the other threads.
If we can get a overall list together, we will be able to put these exhaust on a list form. The only thing is variable factors that contribute to making the exhaust louder or quieter. So I would like to keep this list with a catback on the vehicle only. I know sound is subjected but to have a rough estimate is better than nothing. This is my list from what I have heard in person. Loudest Berk Catback Greddy EVO 3 Invidia N1 ARK DTS ARK GRiP HKS Legamax (Axleback) Perrin Stock Most Quiet |
Nameless, QUIET
All I need is a reference point. Once I get the general consensus of how loud or quiet an exhaust is, I will be able to put together an official list.
Put Perrin resonated just above stock. And SRT Headerback just below Invidia... haven't heard the ARK so this might move below that as well.
Updated. Headerback I would like to keep out due it skewing the list.

You might want to also try to get some youtube videos of each to show off how loud they are. I'll start off with the ARK GRIP first, then the second video is DTS:
GRIP: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iDjsv7GrHRY"]ARK Performance Scion FR-S GRiP Exhaust - YouTube[/ame] DT-S: [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45YIkz1Wnsg"]ARK Performance | Scion FR-S DT-S Exhaust - YouTube[/ame] I hope that helps out. |
Sound isn't subjective, you can measure it with a decibel meter. Quality of the sound may be subjective though. I like the idea.

edit- just saw the "catback" portion of the OP. Sorry my bad. They do make an SRT CB version which I would assume is quieter than their HB. |
How about the TRD Catback?
i would add crawford gymkhana at the very top.
Blitz Nur-Spec C-Ti should be one above stock.. really quiet
Borla catback? Where would that one fall?
Agency Power?
