Where to get non ethanol fuel?

Since this seems to be a big thing lately, and even more so with our "cricket" issue - Where can one find a list of non-ethanol fuel?

Is it getting that hard to get? I see most listed at marinas and such.

:thanks:

Mike

I have seen some treatments to put in the ethanol fuel but i'm leary about using additives in my fuel or oil personally.

something like this maybe...

It must vary from state to state, because all of the Shell stations around here have ethanol. We only have two gas stations that consistently sell ethanol free gas.

Shell here has ethanol too, i think there is one a few miles out of town that has it but it's a ways to drive to fill up.

Just checked that website and all they have ethanol free is 87 octane.

All the Shell stations around me (Toronto Ontario) are ethanol free for 91 octane only.

Saw it for sale outside Key West at a small marina and it was $4.66 a gallon....:confused0068:

I got a quick question for you guys.

Most of the pumps at my local gas stations say something along the lines of "contains up to 10% ethanol", but yesterday I filled up at a gas station a few towns over, and noticed that there was nothing on the pump that mentioned ethanol. So, if a pump doesn't explicitly state that the gas coming out of it has ethanol, is that gas ethanol free?

Coheed 11-13-2012 12:16 AM

Why don't you guys get the pump replaced? They have come out with a TSB on the issue and it didn't have anything to do with the type of fuel used?

Plunger issues?

Getting straight gas is getting near impossible these days.

Funny thing, here in Cali theres ethanol in our fuel, but the thing is I've noticed is that my "cricket" noise has disappeared lol no clue why, not complaining or anything though.

This is correct, but check the other pumps at the station to make sure the sticker hasn't fallen off. Also, compare the price to other stations that carry ethanol gas. They should cost less.

I have heard about the TSB, but, my crickets were gone with my first tank of Shell V-Power non-ethanol gas. I haven't heard anything since. Albeit 91 Octane and I would prefer 93, but, all 93 octane around me has ethanol in it.

I have heard mixed results from new pumps.
