Good driving roads in Michigan
I am in the South West Michigan area.
Can you recommend any good driving roads in MI or closeby? The Upper Peninsula roads might be too far to hit every weekend. My 2cents: North of Ann Arbor seems to have good roads (Hines Dr., Hell area) http://michiganstate.247sports.com/B...igan-5264532/1 http://www.city-data.com/forum/detro...ing-roads.html Also, if you get a chance, drive Rt 2 aka Angeles Crest Highway in Los Angeles. It is a phenomenal driving road with sharp turns and camber changes. |
Hines drive is always a nice trip. North territorial if I remember correctly has some pretty decent twisties here and there. Ill try to think of.more throughout the day.
Edit-- http://www.motorcycleroads.us/states/mi.html somewhat helpful i suppose. |
I enjoy the drive down River Road up in the Oscoda/Tawas area. We are usually up there twice a year for autox's at Wurthsmith AFB and stay at a buddy's cabin about 30 mins away. Unfortunately, we are usually driving a tow vehicle when we head back, so it's not quite as enjoyable.
M-23 / North Huron Rd up the coast from Standish to Oscoda is a really enjoyable drive as well. South East MI is pretty lame  most enjoyable twisty roads are dirt, and hardly ever in good shape. |
