Mt shift knob for automatic Frs

Can you throw off the auto shift knob and throw on the Mt shift knob for an auto frs? Mt one just looks way better. Bought one but now but with my luck it won't fit. :bs:

I think I read somewhere it won't fit, not because of thread, but because the Auto knob connects to the boot directly while the MT knob does not.

Even if it did fit, you would have the gate pattern and numbers 1-6/R on the top. Would look kind of stupid IMO.

I just discovered this the other day. Though there are people withaftermarket knobs on AT so I'm sure you can separate it somehow, even if it takes some force.

Does anyone know if the Flossy knob can/will work on AT

They can, but you have to ask specifically for an AT shift knob. You can't just buy a random Flossy knob and expect it to fit. I'm thinking of getting one for my AT FR-S as well.

Check the flossy GB thread from a while back. A few AT knobs got bought and you could PM the members that got them to find out. I'm on my phone or id post the link for you

I think I read so, but still haven't seen proof. Somebody has to have tried it and can say for sure!

(Funny me offering my MT shiftknob when I was the one who first said "I think it doesn't fit" :bonk::bonk::bonk:)

the thread pattern is different, i have a flossy knob on my auto. I would recommend you get a boot retainer from them as well or there will be a lil gap between the boot and knob.

How much does the boot retainer cost? If you get it, does it guarantee that the knob will sit at the right height? Someone in the Member Classified sections is selling an AT Flossy knob and posted a picture of it. His sits really high, and it looks like the thread is exposed. Not pretty.

Also, which knob did you get? Pics? =D

How did you separate the boot from the knob?
