Rusty exhaust hangers?

I was installing my reverse light LEDs last night and saw the hangers on the muffler all have rust, and a lot of it. I'm in northern California in the valley. This shouldn't be an issue. Anyone else have rust issues already?

They are just bare metal. Just getting wet once can do that -- just like your brake rotors after a wash. It's nothing to worry about. If it is bothering you, just paint them with engine enamel and bake them lightly in your oven.

Also there has been a thread on this already -- give it a search and maybe there is some more information.

EDIT: I just tried to search it, but could not find it

I remember the thread from a couple weeks ago. The responses said nothing to wory about, and those were from non-road salted areas.

They are a wear item anyways, so I wouldn't worry about it.
