audio formats that the stock stereo will play?

I just have the stock base head unit, and I keep a flash drive plugged into it for my music. The trouble is that about half of my collection is in .flac and the stereo won't recognize, display, or play any of those files.

Anybody know what formats it will play for sure? I have certain shit in lossless format for a reason, not interested in changing that. I'm wondering if AAC works since the stereo seems sort of iPhone-centric, but I haven't tried it yet.

File formats for USB Flash Drives

The BeSpoke unit only plays MP3 and WMA. The manual says it won't even display folders if none of those files are present.

the elusive *.RTFM file extension!

I doubt the .flac files would play lol that file type is pretty unknown to most commoners

The base radio definitely supports MP3 and AAC formats. I encoded all my music in AAC high bitrate and it plays flawlessly.

It is sad that there is not support for FLAC format on most devices (even aftermarket).
