Subaru's revises TSB for fuel pump noise is added to the first post.
I left the old one there too for a comparison, in case anyone's interested.

I think the TSB is only available for Subaru right now. I may be wrong, I don't feel like checking

Exactly, as far as I know this isn't officially recognized in North American as an issue yet.

It is for 10 people on the DI failure pole, 4 people in my local area alone and i'm sure many others that are not on the forums

I suspect my engine troubles are a result of the DI failures. I should hear something tomorrow from the field engineer that is supposed to look at my car.

They told me a rocker arm broke and they are going to goodwill a cylinder head. I've also had coolant loss issues since the car was new, so I have no idea what they're thinking is the ultimate issue.

Carwhisperer 06-16-2013 08:40 PM

Goodwill my @$$ Toyota rushed these cars. Granted I've waited almost 10 years for it. Should've done more R&D.

need to update new TSB for BRZ

11-130-13R - (i just re-attached as pdf)

Lakers86 06-19-2013 07:07 PM

brought my car in for its first service Monday. Told them about the chirping. Got a call back a few hours later while at work telling me that they will replace the pump but currently back ordered. Got the call today that part is in and scheduled for Next Monday. Asked service rep if they have replaced any before. Said i will be the 4th one to come in and no one has come back to complain. Said that This is a brand new part number vs. the OEM and that it goes for both Subaru and Toyota. Has anyone heard of this yet or if the part is really a revised Fuel pump?

Amazing... a Subaru tech told me about the TSB for the front bumper... right after I bought my car back in the beginning of September. Surprised that this just NOW popped up on the Internet (I see the post date was 9/25/12).

Yeah...this thread hasn't been kept up to date; I only have these TSBs because a local bought a sub for STIS.

Ben_G 06-20-2013 02:53 PM

Does anyone know if the window switch TSB and the revised fuel pump TSB are recognized in Canada yet?

Edit - For BRZ

Chewie4299 07-02-2013 08:53 PM

Is the list on page one not up to date?

Where can I find a complete list of TSBs if not here?

It's up to date with the info I find on "Issues | Warranty | Recalls | TSB" section of this forum. And I check this forum almost everyday.

ironsurfer129 08-17-2013 12:51 PM

Dealer is able to refuse this TSB service if it is not safety concern?
I took the "disable drl TSB" to dealer and the guy told me I would have to pay extra to get that done because it is not safety issue

ohnoimcaught 08-17-2013 01:21 PM

Just print the TSB and show him the part about the warranty. Or go to a different toyota dealership.

pszuvela 08-19-2013 05:08 AM

Has anyone had an issue with the clutch release bearing (throw-out bearing) making a rattling noise while idling in neutral? It sounds like a clunky/rattle and goes away as soon as I step on the clutch pedal. My BRZ 6MT makes this noise intermittently and I'm not sure if something in the clutch system needs to be adjusted or not. I don't see any TSBs to address it so I'm wondering if other BRZ/FR-S owners are experiencing the same issue.

I'll be scheduling a dealership appointment soon to address the following issues:
- cricket/chirping noise (09-54-12R)
- rear deck lid popping (12-140-12)
- difficulty starting/rough idle (11-130-13R)

Santista 08-19-2013 05:12 PM

Was anyone scessfull with the chirping noise and fuel pump replacement?

I took my car in Saturday, the dealer failed to warn me that there would be no foreman there this past Saturday. Asked me to bring the car back today, gave me the run around for 6+ hrs today, and lastly told me they won't be replacing the fuel pump because they don't think that this will fix the issue. Has anyone else had this issue?!?

I had mine replaced yesterday with no issues. The crickets are gone for now and we will see if they return. My dealer is intent on correcting the crickets and will continue to work it until they are gone for good.

Just took mine in for first oil change, tire rotate, etc... mentioned the chirp and they ordered the part... will call me when it's in. This was the 2nd time I took it in on the chirping sound. Sounds like they are more amiable than a few months ago to take care of this.

dsgerbc 08-23-2013 01:48 AM

Apparently there's finally a Subaru TSB for shifter rattle. 03-71-13. Anyone have a PDF?

UGH, sucks that this was the most accessible dealer to me, but not the one I bought it from. Honestly, the dealer was just all around not fun - if you're in Houston, avoid Mike Calvert Toyota. They did the same thing with a few others that I know of (Dif. cars, one of them the dealer was in Austin and they still refused to do a recall on it). On a better note, the cricket was removed from my car at a dif. dealership

For those of you who want to know what it is without clicking, its the revised TSB for the cam position error codes.

It applies to cars 8792 and lower (the last four digits of your VIN).

Fortunately, I have #9022, so I'm good. :happy0180:

Actually, look at the last 6. My last 4 is lower than 8792, but the cutoff is 008792. Looks like these are *early* ones.
