I took my car in Saturday, the dealer failed to warn me that there would be no foreman there this past Saturday. Asked me to bring the car back today, gave me the run around for 6+ hrs today, and lastly told me they won't be replacing the fuel pump because they don't think that this will fix the issue. Has anyone else had this issue?!?

I had mine replaced yesterday with no issues. The crickets are gone for now and we will see if they return. My dealer is intent on correcting the crickets and will continue to work it until they are gone for good.

Just took mine in for first oil change, tire rotate, etc... mentioned the chirp and they ordered the part... will call me when it's in. This was the 2nd time I took it in on the chirping sound. Sounds like they are more amiable than a few months ago to take care of this.

Apparently there's finally a Subaru TSB for shifter rattle. 03-71-13. Anyone have a PDF?

UGH, sucks that this was the most accessible dealer to me, but not the one I bought it from. Honestly, the dealer was just all around not fun - if you're in Houston, avoid Mike Calvert Toyota. They did the same thing with a few others that I know of (Dif. cars, one of them the dealer was in Austin and they still refused to do a recall on it). On a better note, the cricket was removed from my car at a dif. dealership

NEW TSB

For those of you who want to know what it is without clicking, its the revised TSB for the cam position error codes.

It applies to cars 8792 and lower (the last four digits of your VIN).

Fortunately, I have #9022, so I'm good. :happy0180:

Actually, look at the last 6. My last 4 is lower than 8792, but the cutoff is 008792. Looks like these are *early* ones.

Part came in... took the car in to the dealership today for install. They had it for about half-day... a nice hand-wash... and on my way.

The cricket-sound is gone! Hopefully gone forever...

How long till they contact you? It's been 3 weeks and dealer hasn't contact me regarding parts in

It took my dealer about 2 weeks to get the part in. (I'm in WA state.) Have you called them? Sometimes things fall through a crack... and they forget to call you when parts come in...

BTW.. after a day of driving with the new (and improved??) HPFP, it "seems" like the throttle response is better.. by that, it seems "smoother". Maybe just the infamous placebo effect...and I "want it" to be better, but whatever... IMHO, it's all about how your butt-dyno feels during the drive (for us everyday DDs...).
