incidentally after replacing the rotors 4 times under warranty with less than 30,000 miles on the car, the car was returned under the lemon law.
This was back in ~86 IIRC

Unfortunately here in ga I'll never even be able to claim lemon if this trans acts up since it has to be documented or started work before 12k or some other crazy low mileage

vehicle.
It is very important to keep copies of all work orders, reports (such as vehicle inspection, diagnosis,
or test drive reports) and written correspondence with the manufacturer. Remember, you are entitled
to receive a fully itemized and legible statement or repair order each time you take your vehicle in for
diagnosis or repair.
To assert your rights under the law, other requirements may apply. For further information, contact
the Governor’s Office of Consumer Protection.

I don't know if they will. TSB says that a countermeasure was incorporated into production in July 2012 starting with VIN number D*602788.

Are you sure you have the same noise? You can find the video in this thread.

The sound in the video isn't great but I'm pretty sure I got the same thing just less frequent

I see. I would try below before bringing it in to the dealer. This fixed mine and it takes only a minute to do. I used WD40. The noise has been gone for over 2 years now. The spot to spray is not inside the pocket. If you push the spot marked with red circle in the picture firmly enough, then the 2 metals open up a little bit at where the red straw is pointing at. You spray between those 2 metals.
