Anyone else having this issue or have an idea how to fix it.....

I can't drive over 80 mph without my car wanting to jump lanes of traffic (always right and gets worse the faster you go)

If I drive for over 30 min the tpms always comes on and the vibrations begins to get worse. Almost like something is heating up and expanding to the point of it hitting other metal.

I want to say that it sounds like a bent or even cracked wheel or a bad tire, but if they've rotated the wheels front-back, then the vibration you're feeling would change. I'm not entirely sure if Techstream would show which wheel is showing the TPMS fault, but that would narrow down where you should be looking.

Wow that’s really concerning. If its speed related it must be a rotating part like a wheel.
Alignment?? Gee it would have to be out a fair way and I recon you would see it with your eye and you would see the tires scrubbing badly.

Does it get better or worse when braking?.

Has the Dealer driven the car ?

Get some one to drive beside you on a dual lane road to see if a wheel is shaking, bouncing etc. Check both sides
If a wheel is bouncing that would explain why it gets worse after 30mins as the shocker will be heating up an loosing efficiency as the oil gets thin.
Get onto the dealer and demand results as don’t take no for an answer, I would not drive it any further as it will begin to ware things out and it sounds dangerous.

The car is in the shop now and I don't plan to take it back until the shop Foreman takes a spin with me.... I was already told it could be a bent rim and so I bought two new ones (didn't help)..... The tire wear pattern isn't showing anything out of the norm, which seems to be weird to me.

Can someone pull this tsb SUBARU TSB: SB-06-44-12

So has anyone here gotten the shifter rattle addressed? How did it go? Did the dealership fuck anything up?

Took my BRZ in today so that my horrible dealer can deny they'll do anything for condensation on my drivers side tail. I bought my car in 2012 and it just now started showing this issue. Fingers crossed that I don't have to fight over this...

UPDATE: Wow, they actually replaced it with no questions asked! Hell must have just froze over!

I'm waiting on my parts for a 2nd tail light replacement. Let's hope it works this time.

The service advisor at my toyota dealership said the oil leak from the timing cover on my car was actually part of a TSB.

Didn't see it here, figured I'd mention.

Is there a tsb or anything for the 3rd to 4th gear grind?

Thats great news. My dealer and Toyota AUS have called my slightly sticky brake pedal upon release along with a metallic clunk a characteristic and are refusing to rectify it and giving me the runaround. Incidentally people on the the Subaru Liberty Outback forum are complaining of exactly the same thing on the 2013 models...I'm still fighting.. My steering clunk issue over rough roads between 15 and 25Kph has also been call a characteristic along with a refusal to fix. Indecently JTEKT the manufactures of the elect power steer unit for the 86 and many others list this phenomena in their engineering journal and have tried for ever to make it quieter. They say its backlash between the ring gear and the worm drive. So I recon there not chance of a fix unless hell freezes twice and there's a recall...

TSB / Recall

Well... Go in to talk to service manager at Subaru about shit synchros going from 3-4 gear with only 14k miles. Apparently they've never had a single transmission issue

Hey Deliroast, don't let them tell you its a characteristic..... I did read somewhere on the Aussie forum that some people adjusted the clutch push rod to give it a bit more throw. They said it helped. Good luck !!!

deliroast 09-08-2014 05:45 AM

After lots of arguing Friday I got the tech to ride with me. New trans was ordered after the tech line got put in. The manager was still trying to say that any transmission would grind shifting at higher rpm and fast

I have a feeling, that by default, every service manager will always tell the customer that they have never had a single "insert issue with your vehicle here" in order to avoid having to do warranty work...

deliroast 09-08-2014 05:32 PM

Oh trust me, I completely agree. And after that it's the "normal driving" since it's over 4k that's the issue.
