Tow hooks

So I ordered a pair of tow hooks today, and I was looking at DIY guides. Simple enough, But my question is... What stops somebody from just stealing the tow hook? They sell for 100+. Or am I missing something.

thats why tow hooks are not for the streets. they can easily be stolen

Chen 11-08-2012 04:50 AM

this is unfortunate. :(

so you just spent 100 just for cosmetic upgrade? and not really use it on a track??

I plan on tracking it after tire/coil upgrades.

how bout tracking your car first running stock?

you need to learn how the car behaves before going further with major mods

I keep them on when off the track, I have had cars hit while parked on the side of the road way too often.

Although the hook does not stop it, it makes me feel better when I know it's punched through the idiots bar who hasn't left me a note.

I agree with you. I do a little bit of tracking, learning the ropes day by day. The coils are just what I have planned in the future. But going back to the original post. I just dont want to take the hooks out after I install them.

i dont know how to fully secure it but it can and will be stolen especially if it's branded.

Just take them off when you're not at the track or on the side of the road in a ditch.
