Tuning without a MAF

i am almost done with my turbo kit and am in the process of finishing the details. my biggest issue right now is clearance for the pipe that goes from the intercooler to the throttlebody. it is very close to the turbo and clears the hood but i find it too close to the hood.. that said is using a 3inch pipe which is the size required for the MAF. i heard that it is possible to get the car tuned without a MAF, that way, i could use a 2.5 inch pipe to the throttle body and that would make everything that more more simple. anyone knows if its possble to go mafless, say on ecutek, i really dont want to go piggyback or standalone. thanks for the help.

edit: other option i guess would be to go drawthrough MAF instead of blowthrough...

Its supposedly coming out eventually, but not released yet, we were running speed density but we were running a ProEFI. You best bet it to just run the right size charge pipe, but you can always put it before the turbo but god forbid you blow a coupler off miles from home, youll be SOL.

didnt think of it that way for blowing a coupler, but at the same time, id have to be really out of luck, this car is a toy to me, i rive it about 3 000 miles a year at the most... last time i drove it was a month ago and before that it was a month also.. next time i plan on driving it is end of april or may.... i can afford it to break down lol... glad to know speed density is comming though!

Visconti is working on ECUTek speed density tuning (If I remember correctly) for the Crawford BRZ.

Maybe its for Don at AP, but I'm certain I read in one of his posts that he is working on it.
