It's easy. Just take it to a legitimate body shop. They spray it with candy paint then clear.

He's referring to the tail light,i believe. You spray them with candy paint, which would be a little glossy, to give the tails that shiny look

I am talking about the head and tail lights. The way you properly red or smoke them is to have a bodyshop spray the head or tail with candy red or black and then clear it.

That way it comes out best.

you don't use candy, you just mix regular red or black paint into the clear and spray it and it appears tinted

The body guy who did mine on my 911 said he used candy. Guess you can do it either way or he was wrong.

That exhaust is hideous. Not like it has anything to do with this thread... lol Just saying.

515 Auto Body in Burlingame on 1221 Rollins Rd, exit broadway, right next to the valero gas station across the street from rector porsche/audi

It looks like they concentrated the tint paint on chrome bits, leaving the parts where the light shines through clear, fuken brilliant idea...

chadstyle 11-11-2012 10:01 PM

No candy. Just mix black in the clear coat and spray. If you mix it right you can control how dark the tint is by the amount of coats sprayed. Too dark and you will be getting tickets.
