DFW / East Texas

Anyone have any recommendations for a good dealership to check out in the DFW/East texas area? Just starting my search so hopefully i will be getting one later this month (exciting time!) Looking to get a manual transmission, so hopefully they tend to carry those :)

Or if there is some dealers i should steer away from would also help.

Excited to be joining the community :happyanim:

I had a pretty good experience overall with Pat Lobb in McKinney. If you want, I can put you in touch with my sales guy... Tell him that Chuck Ball sent you - he is an FR-S owner now too, btw....

I got mine at Don Davis in Arlington, and they ran out of time on the paperwork(because i got there about 30 minutes before they closed) plus I was waiting on selling my other car and they let me walk out with the car that night and return the next week to finish all the paperwork and give them my down payment.

I know that Scion of Lewisville currently has a Whiteout FR-S. Sadly I am looking for a Hot Lava FR-S and they can't get me one for a while.

I guess its good that i dont have a color preference really. It mainly just because i'm so indecisive when it comes to such trivial things(maybe silver being the only 'ehhh' color that i don't love). The only "requirements" that im searching for is manual transmission.

Shouldn't be a problem. Scion sales rep told me 70% of the FR-S' made are manual. Color was tough for me, went with asphalt and man am I happy I did.

The whitout FR-S at lewisville scion is a manual. The hot lava FR-S happens to be my fav color for a car so I won't settle for another color. Hopefully you can get what your looking for tho!

i got mine from toyota of Irving, smooth process. Except for the finance guy, he "forgot" to ask for some information to get the finance finished and waited till the last hour to tell me, then threatened me that my car would be on the "repo" list because of a mistake he made. I showed up 30 minutes later and got him fired and brought hell into his tiny insignificant office. Other than that Bill the manager is great, maintenance guys were cool, plus we got a buyers dinner a few months later as a "thanks" for buying a car :D

really a great dealership, glad that one guy doesn't work there anymore :D

That would make me very sad :( ... on the other hand I might get a used one from Toyota of Plano depends if the GM is really selling it. Still waiting for them to get back to me.

I too had good luck with Toyota of Mckinney... But not so much luck at Toyota of Plano and Toyota of Richardson.

I dealt with Abe Cisneros (forgive me if I've misspelled his name). I had a fair experience with him and Toyota of Mckinney through the entire allocation / order / sales / trade-in process.

dawnst3ar 11-11-2012 08:50 AM

Yeah, stay away from both of those places. Richardson tried to force me to give them a non refundable deposit while using strong arm tactics to talk me into a car I hadn't even seen yet. Plano let me teat drive a car that was already paid for, something I wouldn't forgive if the car were mine.
