Haven't done much in a while, but my TO bearing is making noise again (I'm at over 135k now), so time for another clutch job. Just got an Exedy OEM clutch in the mail today, and the shop I'm using has ordered an OEM Subaru flywheel for me. Got an appointment on 5/3 at Metro Performance in Murrieta. They were recommended by a couple of friends and the labor was way cheaper than other quotes.
I also swapped back to the OEM shift knob. I put tape around the bottom ring because it rattles like crazy, but I actually like the shifting feel much better than with the heavy knob. I don't like how tiny the OEM is, but it's very obvious that the springs don't have to work so hard with it, and it feels very precise. I probably should have gone with the stiffer shift springs with the large/heavy knob.
