NOOOOO!!!! I can't even imagine what that would feel like, that sudden, unexpected jolt. I've always been scared of running over something like that. Here at work there's the same thing that sticks up in the parking lots sometimes. So annoying. I usually drive around it. Anyways, I know how far away you travel for work, so it sucks it didn't happen closer to home. That's nice of you to let someone know. Hopefully you'll take time to contact the city and request some kind of compensation. Keep us posted on that madness.

Yeah, I saw it coming at the last second and knew I couldn't avoid it. It was a fairly awful sound, accompanied by a loud rush of air leaving the tires and a sudden pull to the left. I knew one was blown, didn't realize it was both until I got out.

Just ordered a set of the 720Form GTF1. 17x9 +35. Once those come in, I can see what it's going to take to replace the two trashed tires. Every silver lining has a cloud...

Then I spent more money with Newegg.com getting a pair of hard drives that I've been waiting to see on sale. 3TB NAS drives that'll replace my 1TB drives in a little office NAS that I have at home. Two drives mirrored so my backup is always backed up.

I'm paranoid from losing too many hard drives over the years.

Haha. Actually, a few years ago there was a big fire in San Diego (actually, several) and my apartment complex was in the middle of it. Didn't even bother with the PC. My brother took his hard drives, but I just grabbed my cat and some clothes and work laptop and GTFO.

I'm only sentimental about things when I have to decide to get rid of them, or they go away when I could have avoided it (like backing up). But if something big happens, I immediately switch modes to "don't sweat the small stuff."

Yeah that's true. I still have nightmares about opening your door in your narrow driveway... :bow:
