How's this for weight savings? (battery content)

Well,

I'm having a massive part-out of my GT-R, but I am keeping this:

No, not kilos--POUNDS, baby, POUNDS! lol

Ridiculously expensive, but a 25lb weight savings off the nose of the car & phenomenal cranking power & longevity--keeper...

That's a nice piece.

I have a LW battery for my 600RR and it weighs only 1.2 lbs. I love weight saving mods. Makes much more of a difference on a 390 pound 110hp motorcycle though lol.

these batteries are made for performance. the price is like 10x the cost of regular agm batteries tho haha

I worked pretty closely w/ Titan as we developed my GT-R, and they took really good care of me on pricing..

Do you have specs on that battery? I'm curious as to how the Li-ion compares to the LiFePO4 battery that I use in my s2k.

The Li-Fe battery I got from Ballistic is 3.4 lbs with bracket and post adapters.

Are these batteries good for circuit racing? I am worried about the alternator cutting off and the effects it would have on the battery.

A little here and a little there and next thing you know you've lost a significant amount of weight. Good job.

Used mine for the later half of the racing season, left it in for daily driving, and the car started up fine after sitting for two weeks. No issues.

Been using my LiFePO4 (not to be confused with Li-ion batteries) for a few years now. 4.1 lbs, no problems.

Of all the lithium compounds for batteries, IIRC LiFe is the safest. Other lithium compounds can be a little more, um, volatile if certain tolerances are exceeded. I also believe all the Lithium compounds hold a charge very well over time.
