Internet Relay Chat (IRC) Channel

Anyone interested in starting an IRC Channel? I'm a server owner/administrator/IRC Operator on the SynIRC IRC Network. I just registered #ft86 there and was wondering if anyone cared to join me for live chat.

Homepage: http://www.synirc.net
Webchat: http://cgiirc.synirc.net/
IRC: irc://irc.synirc.net/ Ports: 6660-6669 SSL: 6697, 7001

Channel is #ft86

We also support the Mibbit web IRC client if CGI:IRC is not your taste. http://www.mibbit.com

Doesn't need to be pointless...not all of IRC is full of trolls you know...

It's a nifty place to talk to other people who are interested in similar things. It's a lot easier than multi person video chatting, and it's a lot more personable than just chatting here on the forum.

Wow.. IRC.. I used to run all the bots for #MR2 (actually started #MR2) and #RX7 on EFNet back in the day. I haven't touched IRC is probably 10-12 years now lol

It was a joke. I couldn't get it to work anyway, wouldn't stop loading.

A joke? Please explain? The channel exists...I am in there...just because it didn't load for you doesn't mean it doesn't exist. In fact I saw you log into the channel earlier and talk, I replied but then you just quit. MannyO was hangin out in there all day. Did you try Mibbit? Or downloading a real IRC Client like mIRC (www.mirc.com) or XChat (www.xchat.org)

There is a VBulletin add-on that actually allows this and connects to IRC. Need to talk to Hachiroku about installing that though.

The channel loaded enough to see you and send a message but I couldn't read any chat text. I was using Chrome so I was just testing it out. Like I said it kept loading, it was Chrome no doubt.
