Hands free phone problem
 

having a problem with my Bluetooth hands free. When I make a phone call, either people can't hear me or say that I sound like I am miles away.

help, please!!

what phone do you have?

IPhone 4. It is playing my music fine and I can hear whoever is on the phone.

I know when I have a call over my BT I make a point of talking a little louder and also talk towards the mic that is located in the center on the roof by the lights.

No complaints from anyone with me so far.

This is a new problem for me. It worked great until earlier this week?

did it get bumped or hit in anyway?
is there anything else that is electromagnetic that has changed in your vehicle?

Theres a disruption in the signal somewhere.

The car hasn't been hit or bumped and nothing has changed which is why it is all so curious????

Maybe your IOS is corrupt, restore it in itunes.

Could just be the new update..?
Anyone up date to IOS 6 or 6.0.1 before this started happening?

A customer came into my job with that problem. It was because he upgraded to IOS 6
Are you upgraded to that?
I'm pretty sure there are way to down grade to IOS 5. Better yet, find someone with an android and test it out.

Just got a new iPhone 5 with latest IOS update and had a little problem getting it to synch. Finally deleted the "Car Audio" icon on the phone's blue tooth and synced up fine.

I took the car to Toyota 2 weeks ago to have my snow tires put on and one of the technicians solved my problem. For 4 days!! Problem is back and I went to Toyota again today and they have ordered a new radio to see if that solves the problem.

Did you check to see if your bluetooth volume got turned down on your phone? Not sure about the iPhone but some of the Android phones have a volume on the Bluetooth mic input.

It's not your phone it is the car. I have the same problem. Everyone says I am very muffled and hard to understand. I'm going to take the car to Subaru when I'm not so busy at work. Let me know if Toyota tells you anything if you decide to take it back.
