Should've gotten an FRS... :bellyroll:

I like it better that it's tucked away in the glovebox. It's on the centre console on the US BRZ's as well as the FR-S.

I created a thread hoping someone would fill it with a D.I.Y. swap, I want the center console one too.
Let me know if you plan on swapping it, or if you find one!

Same with me, I saw a DIY thread where you can access the port location from where the passenger side knee pad would go, would be good if we could relocate without opening the whole front dash.. I won't be attempting anything till next summer though but hopefully someone else is more eager!

Crazy... Id rather much have that port hidden than in plain sight.

Same here.

I think there's one in the glovebox for BRZs as well. I don't have mine yet, so I can't confirm.

The BRZ has a line out and USB input located near the gear box. You need to remove the plastic cover in order to access it.

Call me crazy, but I don't want to drive with my phone in the glovebox, or with my glovebox open.

I can plug my phone in and have it in front of the cup holders with the USB port out in the open.

You mean beside the cubby beside the start button?

Btw there is about 6' of cable for the USB and mini jack bundled up behind the head unit. If you want to remove or relocate the connections just remove the head unit and look for the cable bundled against the main support bar. Cut the two nylon straps, unravel the black tape and you will find where the extension cables that connect the head unit cable to the ones threaded through the glove box. I moved mine to the left of the steering wheel where I mounted my phone. Attachment 26440

Who needs those when you've got Bluetooth! :)

MiniGuy 01-30-2013 03:13 AM

Sound is better cabled. Plus between sony's music unlimited and Wase GPS, my iPhone's battery drains in about 90min..
