Will they offer a "racelite" or "tracklite" or whatever they call the lighter version of the cromo flywheel?

A pro-lite is coming. a member is testing a 10.5lb fly right now search his thread. i woulda liked it to be about 9lbs personally but we get what we get :iono:

this should handle all base turbo kits and superchargers... if more is needed exedy makes a twin plate.

How much can twin late handle?

well the proto-type accelerated performance is using is holding 400+ at the moment so i would think around that area anyways.

There are a few clutch options out there already to handle more torque...Spec & Competition off the top of my head. I also know Monster was working on a complete setup as well.

Waste of time. Thanks, but if I'm upgrading my stock clutch, I'm going with the Exedy Twin Plate.

Half the price of an Exedy Twin Plate for not much more torque capacity...I'm not seeing the value here.

The ACT HD single here increases torque capacity 70%. And that is the entry level at the moment. To really "need" a twin, the engine will have to make well over 500 ft-lb, which is far beyond what the gearbox is going to handle for very long anyway.

I've driven this clutch and it is a HUGE improvement over the wimpy stock unit. Easier to drive and excess capacity for most mods. Revs quite a bit quicker as well. 99.9% will never need a twin in this car, so no need to suffer from slower shifting (syncros having to accelerate two discs vs. one) or pay more for no reason.

This ACT clutch is PERFECT for most of the cars that will be modded and on the road. 270ftlbs of TQ holding power is more than enough. Remember that's TQ not horsepower. And if you are making over 270ft lbs of torque you obviously spent enough money to get there a twin or tripple won't be an issue for you. :) ( Stock TQ output is 125-130 typically, so you need to be at 340WHP to need more holding power )

Hmmm, there are only two issues I see here. Both ACT clutches I've had in the past either shot the springs out, or didn't hold their rated capacity.

The price is actually pretty decent for the whole package.

Sigh. I hope this is one of those rare occasions that this clutch is underrated.

Anyone know the stock clutch size in mm diameter?
