Saw the pics on Facebook. The kit looks so badass here, but not sure how the kit will translate into an everyday car. I need to see one without all the sponsor stickers.

I wonder how different it will look if the pieces are color matched with the body...

RedRocket 11-02-2012 05:16 PM

I love the widebody look on this car, but widebody without wheels and tires is GHETTO.. hehe So much to do with this car.. i can't even think strait.. My crap is still stock.. UGG
Might go ahead and order a Strut Bar.. Can't go wrong with that..

crildz 11-03-2012 12:25 AM

This kit absolutely shits all over rocket bunny.

ForcedFab_Jon 11-03-2012 01:18 AM

I love wide body kits, but i do not understand the reason behind not closing the back of the kit into the body. These kits look almost unfinished because of it. I like the rocket bunny, i like aggressive track styling, but it looks incomplete.

Xanatos 11-03-2012 02:01 AM

The rear diffuser looks pretty useless IMO. Theres too much turbulence created with those hard corners.

Isn't this kit using the rocket bunny front and rear fenders?

Mobius357 11-03-2012 11:08 AM

I'd think on a street car, you see more paint damage behind those open back fenders, and the diffuser doesn't suit the cars curves. I like the paint on the hood and roof following the body lines.

*KID* 11-03-2012 11:49 AM

front diffusor looks like cardboard, and rear one looks like lego dimensions. Not feeling it at all IMO

RedRocket 11-03-2012 03:18 PM

I do agree on the rear diffusor, it does look a bit BLOCKY for a car with such smooth curves.

R2RO 11-04-2012 05:16 PM

Oh and im going to try to make a rendering of it, with no stickers and a even body color.

I completely agree.

Can anyone point me in the direction of one installed and paint matched? I really dig the spoiler on it.

Needs to enclose the back of both front and rear tires, and I'm not a big fan of the rivets, would prefer a seamless look.

Otherwise, this thing is badass.

It's based upon the Rocket bunny but this kit is the complete form on rocket bunny IMO. RB kit is aggressive track styling, the lux kit is more of a complete good looking street car at half the price. $4400 installed and painted vs. $5500 + paint and install (at least for the first 5).

You can have it smoothed when you do the install, its super simple

TylerLieberman 11-04-2012 08:03 PM

The rear wing is the shit. That's how it should be

Lux Motion 11-05-2012 10:32 PM

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Your suggestions have been taken into account and we are actually revisiting our design to close up the rear of the fenders, in addition to working on a BRZ version.

The complete RB kit is actually about $9000 via RB authorized dealer.

Awesome.

bacon_cheese_beer 11-08-2012 08:34 PM

jesus! what's the offset on them wheels? -10??

Draco-REX 11-08-2012 10:57 PM

I love that the fronts of the fenders are filled out. That was the one thing I didn't like about the RB kit. But I MUCH prefer the rear of the fenders to be open. It gives the kit a more track-aero look.

I'm also interested in the changes to fit the BRZ front bumper.

My Formula for the ultimate body kit:
These fenders as pictured
A simple plank-style side skirt (can't think of the name of the ones I like, similar to Seibon's)
Rocket Bunny rear valence/diffuser (Or maybe the Borla diffuser if it doesn't sound bad)
HTA front lip
APR rear wing
Seibon BRZ hood (painted, CF is played out)

I really like these fenders as they are.

Lux Motion 11-09-2012 07:14 PM

Front wheels are 18x11 -5 and rear wheels are 18x12 -30

Draco-REX, the good thing about our design, is you will be able to remove the closed of section of the rear of the front fender should you choose to leave it open. For the rear, we are debating on having 2 version(closed and open) or just 1 version (closed).

zerodark 11-13-2012 03:59 AM

Will we be able to purchase pieces from the kit individually? I definitely want to buy that spoiler.. also any eta on when they will be available for purchase?

jhstealth 09-08-2013 09:53 PM

IMO the kit was done well, having the front of the arch closed and the rears of the arch open is the best imo. Thats the only thing that I didn't like about the rocketbunny kit, the front bumper needed to flow to the bottom and the front of the quarter panel flare. Reminds me of this car which is never a bad thing:

I believe they're called COR wheels.

If you're looking for specs then they're "Front wheels are 18x11 -5 and rear wheels are 18x12 -30" according to Lux Motion, otherwise if you're looking for the name of them, it's COR Precise.

No idea, but I'm guessing something over 255s in the back and something between 225 and 245 in the fronts, don't see much stretch there.

CruiseZen 06-28-2014 10:04 AM

The open front arch is not very practical for a street driven car. The first time you hit some loose gravel on the road, the whole side of your car will be covered with paint chips. Other than that I do like the design.

SStratos 08-30-2014 03:13 PM

Open/Closed rear edgs of fenders

I like that you will be integrating the kit so you can open the fender or close it as you will :)

JDsThatGuy 03-29-2017 08:25 PM

I've seen what looks like a few replicas for this kit, how can you tell if it's official or a replica?
