Are Switchback Turn Signals Legal?
In Ontario specifically. Is it legal to have switchback turn signals installed? technically, it should be legal since they're amber for the purposes of signalling. But can someone confirm that it's legal to have them shine white?
Thanks! |

I dont know about legality, but at least for the ones I have which are 60 SMT LED I believe, the orange flashes much fainter than the incandescent bulb. This is specifically on the switchback for the front.
In daylight the orange flash isn't that visible and I have some concern regarding safety. At night they are very visible. Still deciding if I will keep them but I have all winter to consider while my FR-S rests in the garage. PS- I wont be spotted around the GTA for a few months. |

I'm assuming you haven't had any problems with cops in Toronto regarding driving around with switchbacks though? =p |

The ones in the group buy you linked (the ones I'm selling) are 120 SMD LED's. If the gentleman's above are 60 SMD, this would equate to mine having double the amount of "lights" on this bulb. I apologize for the lack of pictures/video, as my car has been stuck being prepped for SEMA/boothed at SEMA until tonight. I should have something up for everyone to look at as soon as these bulbs come into stock (1 week tops.) If there's anything else I can answer please feel free to contact me. Thanks! -Ben |

In sunlight the orange just doesn't flash that bright. They're great at night. As far as the switchback function, when you have your running lights on they are white but they still flash amber. Nothing illegal about it. |
Mine are 168 SMD and are blindingly bright lol
