Yeah, but too bad its not an FA20.... Seems like Subaru does not have faith in their new engine.

A lot of the cars in SuperGT aren't running the original engines. Look at the Prius for example :P

no point dumping the EJ engine when they've put a lot of R & D into it. the GT300 BRZ is basically the old legacy GT with a BRZ body on it. it was more of a marketing strategy to promote the new brz more than anything IMO.

bahh, they shouldve at least slapped on the Toyota Direct Injection System from our production car. Even the Racecar Prius is still using that same Hybrid system but with a different engine with a bigger battery.

And going a bit off topic here, but I hope they make this BRZ GT300 car in Gran Turismo 5 in the future. Shutup and take my money :)

The old Legacy was AWD but the BRZ is RWD so there are some differences. I would agree there isn't much point in developing a new engine for the car when the older EJ motor works for now. Maybe an FA20 version will show up in the future.
