What are the ePA missions testing procedures for our cars?

Does PA require the sniffer test or are we a visual and OBD one? Why would a non-CARB legal intake fail inspection/emissions (ex: AEM's new intake)?

depending where in PA, it's a lil different....

most of PA will just do safety and OBDII emissions test. So for emissions they just plug it in....

OBDII is 1996+...

I don't think any areas in PA do a sniffer test for OBDII. If you find a good shop, as long as you aren't getting any CEL's, your car should pass emissions, despite any modifications.

I'm a PA inspector. The sniffer is on OBDI only. In a few counties, there is only a visual inspection... But like I said, most is just plug and it pretty much reads it all.

And like Shag said, no CEL and you'll be fine. The warning they give is to pretty much cover themselves.
