Sard light weight flywheel
 
I stumbled upon this today. Thought I would share :thumbsup:

5.5kg (12lbs) down from 9.3kg (20.5lbs) they claim to be stock weight.
its also Cr-Mo not alloy.

stock weight but it's 8 lbs lighter? i'm not good w/ flywheels does that mean it has the stock feel and still be lighter weight?

I think he is saying they claim that stock weight is 20.5 lbs

Cr-Mo is an alloy silly....

all materials are alloyed....you mean it isn't aluminum...which is good as far as fatigue and durability go. also has less potential for warpage.

@Celica00 they claimed the stock FW weighed 20.5lbs, they are claiming 8 lb loss that's where the 12lbs comes from.

Haha, yeah sorry. Had a brain fart. I meant it in the generic form of steel vs aluminium alloy. My bad.

I personally prefer Cr-Mo to an aluminium alloy flywheel predominantly for durability but i have also read that the burst strength is typically higher with Cr-Mo, which on high revving applications like ours is good for peace of mind.
