Sard light weight flywheel
I stumbled upon this today. Thought I would share
5.5kg (12lbs) down from 9.3kg (20.5lbs) they claim to be stock weight. its also Cr-Mo not alloy. http://www.sard.co.jp/after_eng/prod...ch/clutch.html |
stock weight but it's 8 lbs lighter? i'm not good w/ flywheels does that mean it has the stock feel and still be lighter weight?

Cr-Mo is an alloy silly....
all materials are alloyed....you mean it isn't aluminum...which is good as far as fatigue and durability go. also has less potential for warpage. @Celica00 they claimed the stock FW weighed 20.5lbs, they are claiming 8 lb loss that's where the 12lbs comes from. |

I personally prefer Cr-Mo to an aluminium alloy flywheel predominantly for durability but i have also read that the burst strength is typically higher with Cr-Mo, which on high revving applications like ours is good for peace of mind. |
