FR-S buyers beware (One Scion of Oakland)
About 2.5 months back I go into Toyota/Scion and put in a $500 deposit on an Orange FR-S. Two months pass and my circumstances change, I can no longer afford to buy this car so I back out of the deal. On Sept. 28 I get in contact with the salesperson and he tells me he will put in a refund request with Toyota. Flash forward to now and still no refund and my emails ignored.
Has anybody else experienced this with this dealer? |

You can get that money back. I'd flood their phone lines until you get someone important on the phone.
That fails you can show up in person. |
Possibly using your name to hold on a future car delivery in the system? then they can get one more car to sell at MSRP plus? Just a thought.

So, I went in today and asked for my refund face to face. They took copies of my card/receipt and said I should have my money by tonight. They were really cool about it in person but I've yet to see my card charged back, here's hoping everything works out.
I like these guys and still want to purchase the vehicle in the future when my circumstances improve, I would hate for something like this to sour the whole experience. |
One Toyota is great man. It's where I bought my car from. I had no issues. The guy that sold me the car posted here they had a silver available unclaimed, and I PM'd him then spoke over the phone, and had my car really fast. June 10th I think. No hassles at all, super honest about the stuff that was already on the car as well.
