Anybody else's car rusting yet?
I noticed a few other parts, but I could only take a picture of these two parts because it was nighttime and my phone's camera isn't that good. Is this normal?

Mine, here in the dry southwest, were the same on the hangers. I didn't notice it anywhere else.
That's normal.
If you don't like it clean/scuff off the rust and paint it. Not is the time.
That kind of rust can happen over night
on the british cars we use something called waxoyl...
;) check your suspension components in a couple of weeks...
Completely normal. OEM exhausts aren't really rust proof. They will come in on the trucks rusty sometimes. The more you look at your undercarriage, the more you will notice.
Our cars are exposed to the sea air during their boat ride across the ocean and I would think of things like that as normal.
Normal oxidation. No big deal
I agree, oxidation is normal. We just have to keep an eye on it.
For reference I saw some of this when doing some mods... http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8469/8...aed3b07f_z.jpg 20121028-WhitelineRearCrossmemberBushingsDIY-20 by VictorN07, on Flickr http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8190/8...ec107340_z.jpg 20121012-WhitelinePerrinBushing_Headerback-2 by VictorN07, on Flickr |
I broke off part of that stud too though much less so I could still use it even after a lot of PB Blaster.
ok the op pics don't concern me any, but...the exhaust stud breaking...not bueno...and im not sure what the other bolt is (subframe connector or something?) that is really extra super shitty...
