George Lucas has been good friends with Disney for a while.

Well considering his current hate for Star Wars and his ruining the classics i'm glad. Hopefully we can get the undoctored classics out of the "vault".

"Luc(as), I am your father". :bellyroll:

The way Disney is handling business these days...this is a reallllly good thing.

If Disney bought lucas 10 years ago, id have said this is the worst possible outcome for the Starwars Franchise.

It was because of Pixars Success, that Disney had to refocus on how to make films.

Which was evident when Joss Whedon was given full reins on the Avengers Movie, and not being completely dictated by the upper echelon of Disney and its producers.

Starwars has the potential of being great given its already vast established universe but the story has never been told to achieve it. It has always fallen short, regardless of the special effects advancements of its entire lifetime.

I want a starwars universe that connects with its audience, and I think Disney is just the right company to do that at this point in the Film Industry.

I just saw something today that said that Lucas is one of the celebrities that believes the whole "2012 is the end of the world" thing. Is this him trying to downsize before the world assplodes?

This.

I'm a huge Star Wars fan. I watched ROTJ every morning before kindergarten while eating pancakes. That was a good year. At first I was upset about this news but then I thought....F George Lucas. F him and Episode 1 2 3 and Indian Jones 4. These were all so terrible....awful storytelling, awful overdone CGI, awful dialogue, and plots that just didn't make any sense. I am glad his hands are off Star Wars and someone else will have a chance to redeem the series I grew up with.

I am extremely excited to see the sequels. I'm really hoping they somehow integrate Starkiller (from the Force Unleashed games) into the story. And maybe cast Liam Neeson again as Quigon Jin lol. :fighting0040:

Anyone play the old Tie Fighter game?

Concept could be interesting for a future plot, basically it's the aftermath of the Empire losing it's head of government. Civil war, chaos and such.

Omg I loved that game. My friends and I would rotate who had the keyboard (was the co pilot) while the other person was the pilot with joy stick. Man that was a long time ago.
