That's awesome, but 2014 is a while away!

First time Subaru has participated in this sort of series. It will be interesting to see what sort of drivetrain they put in the car.

SUB-FT86 10-30-2012 03:35 PM

I'm pretty sure it will be a beefed up STI engine.

ichitaka05 10-30-2012 03:47 PM

Well, we already found out, LS engine do fit under FRS/BRZ... so it's possible to see v8 BRZ coming to Formula D

SkullWorks 10-30-2012 03:50 PM

it's also possible that MotoIQ project car drivetrains will help determine what drivetrain he uses.......

??? What about the Crawford, Rockstar and Team orange cars?

I think that they will go big V8. It just makes sense for the types of courses they are running.

Didn't think of those. :bonk:

Big V8 is easy. I hope they go with something more interesting. Beefed up turbo flat 4, for instance.

I would love to see a turbo'd Suby engine, but I highly doubt it'll happen. Ya know? The courses they see are so made for big displacement engines.

Hopefully they'll surprise us!

I'd be more excited to see the BRZ or FR-S taking part in the GT class of Grand-Am/ALMS. A lot of teams will need to fill the rotary void by the RX-8's being gone. I add ALMS because no one has a clue what the merged series is going to look like in 2014.

it will be interesting indeed! ;)
