6 days old--1st Solo outing...

Hey all--new here...

Okay, first outing...

Completely stock except new 245/40s on 17x9" Drag Lead Specials (8+ lbs total/corner over stockers), 325 mi, and a driver that's never owned a momentum car (coming from 600whp GT-R & boosted SM Evo/STIs) lol.

The clocks weren't working, so it was by stopwatch. Came in 2nd (to well-prepped/driven RX-8) & was credited w/ 36.2--I timed vid below & it was a 35.8--timing was ALL over the board, so I'm not putting any stock in results

First impressions are favorable. I think the car will come alive w/ mods...

Here's vid:

Looks like you're flying through the cones! Nice work.

Thx, Steven, and I just may do that. I figure if I can keep up with your quick self in that STR S2K, I'll be onto something...

You can tell you came from a point-and-shoot torquey car previously. In the big carousel turn before the straight into the slalom you are reeeeally waiting to get on the gas, same in the last turn coming into the finish. Start squeezing into the throttle as you apex... Your braking and entries are great, definitely no rookie, you'll just have to get used to the fact that the throttle will not bite you on this car.

Yep, like almost starting over again, learning this car...I'll get it--one of these days... lol

Thx

Timing was iffy but 3 out of 5 of my runs were trash. 1 felt good but timing said otherwise. Then the 5th felt a lot like that 4th but someone was monstrously quicker.

The tires on my front right now feel terrible, even on the street. Not sure if those two are cycled out or its just the temperature change. Either that or in just one week I forgot how to drive hahah

Need to smooth mine out some
