Anyone have experience with Costco tyres?

Just wondering if anyone's dealt with Costco tyres before and how your experience with them was like?

Do I need to make a appointment? Or just rock up with my car?

The only comment I've ever heard, and that was years ago, was to be sure and check the age of the tires before buying them.

They're great. I'm pretty sure you can just rock up (I have before), but it might be better to book in if you need to go on a Saturday. The guys don't seem to be the most skilled workers I've ever come across, but they get the job done and the prices are very good.

You won't get the same level of service that you would in the states though - when the Sydney Costco first opened, there were lots of Americans there, seemingly for training or whatever, and the service was up to U.S. standards. It has since slipped back to the usual Aussie levels though, sadly.

The boys at payless in chullora are my choice as they seem to be the cheapest and will find quality tyres for cheap..
Dunno bout Costco tho but I found theyre not that much cheaper.. I prefer local stores rather than the big franchises

I have had great experiences with Costco. When I had a flat I just brought it to Costco, so I know appointments aren't necessarily needed. But I assume
Appointments never hurt.

The one thing you may want to inquire is that they may fill their tires with nitrogen. I had green caps for my tire nipples where you fill with air. To some places the convention is green is nitrogen.

Thanks guys! Will definitely be dropping by Costco the day I pick up my car. My Work Kiwamis are getting restless. haha

Had Michelin PS3s installed today at Costco. Total of $960 for a set of four, installed and balanced. Size is 235/40R18. Had a $50 discount because I got a set of four. Plus tyres were $40 off RRP.

Amazing service and quick turnaround. Free balance and rotation every 10,000km. Free puncture repairs and all tyres are filled with nitrogen.

Overall very happy with the guys there!

After you get tires installed at costco make sure you go back after 50km and get them re-torqued.
