Playing music via Samsung S3 USB
 

When I try to play music through my Samsung S3 via the usb, my FRS will not recognize it. My phone charges, but I dont have the option to switch it to USB from the HU.

But playing music through Bluetooth works.
I have the upgraded HU, Canadian version (no bespoke).

Anybody no why?

Have you try mounting it from the phone?

Yeah the S3 is kind of weird

I had a car charger for my S2 X and it worked great but now that I have a S3 it won't charge the phone using the car charger using the usb still works but not the charger

S3 only has MTP out of the box. You need to install an app to enable Mass Storage mode.
