Thanks Opie.

Subiescribed... I have some spare JPN housings that I want to toss these fogs into. Only problem now is the fact Ive grown into liking the daytime leds and hids might blind more than help in actual foggy areas.

That's definitely more parts than we need for this conversion.

I'd prefer something that doesn't require cutting off the stock connectors.

And all that requires is splicing a PSX24W (PG20) male pigtail to a H11 (PGJ19-2) female pigtail.

Right?

Now what I am curious about is light output and usability of these new fogs as real fogs versus lenses that just light up for show (I know there is more to it, but for fogs the stock OEM blows!).

OrbitalEllipses 10-28-2012 06:46 PM

My opinion is that the fogs are simply too low to be useful. Their output is probably too low compared to the HIDs, but I'm not sure if H11 4000-4200K bulbs will help or just blow out the bottom/side portion of your lights in inclement weather.

That kit also looks like either the lenses are smoked or they are black chrome and cost way too much.

Can you verify part number of the Outback fog. Page 1 has 2 different numbers 84501A00A and 849501AJ00A. Thanks
