XForce Exhausts
I thought I'd post it here as this is an Australian only product (as far as I'm aware).
I'm luck enough to be trialing XForce's 3" exhaust system. It's from the 'over pipe' back and includes a 100 cell metal cat, resonator and a muffler at the back. It's fully stainless. I've uploaded a sound clip to youtube. Sorry about the quality, I just wanted to get something up. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDyNHCb2Lvw"]Toyota 86/Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ XForce Exhaust 3 Inch - YouTube[/ame] I'll take pictures tomorrow and will get a sound clip with my race headers installed. These should be available in time for Christmas! For pricing and ordering info PM me. |
i kinda like this exhaust. but better to see in real I suppose....

The sound is deeper and nicer than in the video. The sound level was lower than I expected from a 3" exhaust. It's 90db at 4k rpm. |
Pls post good quality sound clip B4 headers, the 1st attempt was awful, reminds me of what TV was like back in the 70's  Nice pics aswell !

I'll take plenty of good pics :) |
yeah all my exhaust is xforce but custom chopped with cannons cos i couldnt wait for a release back in july for the 86..
nor can i wait for the headers to be released to the market by xforce.... simply because its local and cheaper and i have no dramas with xforce now or before so like you know, @86drift remember to keep me informed on any headers available ( yes with a catalytic conv. ) |

Ok, so here's another video which I think is a little better.

Sounds loud, noisy, distorted even. Is it legal? I like Lachute sound best still.
|
^ mounting a gopro on the back bumper can never really capture the true note of the exhaust.
If we are all interested (pricing might help ;)), OP should do a recording from a few feet back and just do some no load blips just to set the mood first! |

Tips are not finialised, but there will be an option to use whatever tips you like. Including using the factory ones. The sound reading was 90db at 4k rpm. This is for the 3" system. 2.5" will be quieter. Pricing will be far cheaper than the other options out there. When pricing is finialised I'll add it to the classified section. http://86drift.com/wp-content/flagal...st/rearcar.jpg http://86drift.com/wp-content/flagal...xhaust/tip.jpg http://86drift.com/wp-content/flagal...earmuffler.jpg |
ooooh looks good!
|
OK then, looks promising. Your custom plate a forerunner to a future Toyota rally team?

It will be a rally car in the next year or two. |

I could definitely see a one-make series ! Toyota has a rich history in motorsport, especially in rallying. :burnrubber: Look forward to more esorst updates. |
Can't wait to see more on this.
|
/subscribes. Looks promising, I like supporting Australian-made wherever possible :)
|
Any options for burnt Ti tips?
|
Wow those look killer

So what I'd ideally like:
1. Overpipe 2. Front pipe with Cat and Resonator 3. Cat back All mating up at the factory points so it can mix and match. Dynos. |
Quote:
The front pipe does have a cat and resonator. The overpipe hasn't been made yet. The thing that complicates it on the RHD models is the proximity to the steering box. It will probably need wrapping or coating. XForce are in the process of getting their own dyno. So they'll be doing performance testing in house. I want to see the performance difference (if any) between the 2.5 and 3 inch systems. |
Gold - If I can buy a proven Aussie design I will.
Overpipe seems to give good results in other testing, however if no overpipe, everything behind must bolt up so not a show stopper if price is right. |

The Xforce full system we ran on our old Crx with a b16a2 gave the best gains.
Ended up with 100kw @ front wheels with the full system. |

I'll find out if they've got plans for a Varex system. |
You could stick a lot of bananas in those tail pipes
|
Any info on why they went with 3" as their first release? Is it to tap into the FI market or ?? Would think 3" would be excessive for a 2ltr NA motor...
I bought one of the first 3" systems for the VE SS when they first came out and it was definitely one of the best sounding and well priced systems, so I'm excited about this product :) Thanks for the updates |
Turbo Charge !

I believe it's mainly to do with how is sounds. The 3" system has a deep sound and is a little louder. It's just an added bonus the the FI guys will have a 3" option available soon. I think this with the UEL headers of the AVO kit would sound awesome. I'm looking forward to see back-to-back Dyno testing of the 2.5 vs 3" as I care about performance above all else. |
Personally I want a Perrin or Nameless Performance exhaust kit :)

The 2.5" and 3" systems will come without tips. You can choose an XForce tip or use your own, including the factory one. Dyno testing will be done once a 2.5" system is available. You can buy a cat-back or the full system. Now working with them to determine what headers they will sell. |
A 2.5" with varex and stock tips would be awesome!!! Can't wait!
|
Any updates?
|
Any Ideas on cost?
