@86drift are there any plans to make this cat-back kit with Varex muffler? I'm trying to find a solution that works for me. I threw a 2.5" flowmaster cat-back on and it's way too loud. The idea of having some control of sound is very interesting to me.

I'm looking at doing this setup. Any chance you have video of AVO + 3" Xforce? Thanks! |

does this include the overpipe? they list them as headerback, but you cant see the over pipe in photos..
http://www.rallysportdirect.com/X-Fo...r-Back-Exhaust same thing on xforce website.. hoping someone can confirm its a true headerback or a overpipe back.. |
That site claims it's a header back but the pict shows cat back only, ie: it's from the oem front catted pipe back - odd :/

Hello guys,
i have this exhaust store and service in my neighborhood, i checked their online website for car exhausts and they have 2 models of xforce exhaust. Is their pricing good or i better go for custom made exhaust for the money? |

The sound clips on their web site isn't anything like what you get in real life.
I started with the X Force 2.5 cat back, not much different to stock sound wise, I then grabbed the header back front pipe, car now sounds better But, nothing like the cat back sound clip, and I mean, nothing like Maybe what they advertise as a 2.5 cat back sound clip is actually a header and full exhaust Not complaining about the quality at all, and fitment was spot on and totally painless |
So with just the 2.5" catback and everything stock it was just a slight increase over stock and no drone? I'm debating on one of these because summit has them for like $450 and the next thing I keep finding to stay quiet is the invidia q300 or the thermal r&d. Both of those ater around $750 new. I like my cars quiet but I'd still like to have just a small bump in sound. I've also been thinking about just replacing the front pipe with a high flow catted front pipe and leave everything else stock for achiving this. Not sure what route I should take here with so many options.

So I just ordered the 2.5" catback I'll let you guys know what I think about fitment and drone. I'm hoping it is very quiet for aftermarket exhaust.

As stated, I then got the 2.5" overpipe back section with a highflow cat and resonator, still no drone, exhaust did get louder but still not obnoxious. But, with a punched out cat in the OEM header, a 2.5" ULTREX (cheap) overpipe through X Force front pipe with the high flow cat punched out then the X Force cat back, cold start was obnoxiously loud, but once cold start was over the car sounded loud when you got on it, but in a good way, nice and respectable just cruising around though. Tune fixes cold start. After a tune it's all roses. If I was to do the exhaust again for a NA 86 daily: 1. Punch out OEM header cat 2. 2.5" overpipe 3. 2.5" midpipe with resonator, no cat 4. Tune 5. Skids 6. Beer My thoughts on highflow cats: they still cause a restriction, you will fail a test, unless you tune on E85 for the test. |
Well I plan to get a catless header down the road and I've head how loud these can get and I the only real reason for this is one is to stay quiet but I don't like the factory exhaust when paired with headers. And I don't mind the added weight. It's not much and I'm not going to be setting any lap records to where 5 or ten lbs on the car over stock will be felt. The biggest thing with weight for a daily driver is in lighter wheels and I will be doing that later as well.
