Raise Suspension for Winter?

Just curious, any of you guys with aftermarket adjustable coilovers in snow-bound regions - do you raise it for winter use to get more clearance through snow, or do you just leave it lowered?

I guess you'd need an alignment each time you raise/lower, if so?

um 4 inches off the ground seems plenty and the front is already perfect for plowing.

I think most guys just leave it at whatever drop they have. If you have a show car and it is slammed to the ground then you could raise it up, but it will affect your alignment slightly.

Or you could just buy a $500 Beater for winter and leave the nice car in the garage.

Could take public transportation too, or buy a Jeep, or move to Orlando FL ;)

Anyway, was just curious as to what folks with lowered setups do, especially if they have something adjustable.

We have plows here (and probably everywhere else also, haha), driving on more than 4" of snow maybe happens just a few times in the whole winter, not worth playing around with height.

In the mid-atlantic, with a mild to medium drop you're fine 363 days a year with the right tires. On the other 2 days, the roads are so bad and full of idiots and everything is closed that you just stay home anyway. If you're slammed, then you'll have some problems a few more days. Anyway, that's how it works here most years...some are worse and some better. Rarely do I "have" to drive through a snow storm. I just drink big belgian beers or american IPAs and go sledding.
