Also that R1 is ver 1.0. They upgraded to ver 2.0 when they tide on Touge Battle later on. IIRC changed front under diffuser, suspension & front wheel base chassis part. Well either way lost is lost. Esprit make good cars (mrs) Quote:

Poor, poor S2k, all she wants to do is go really fast on a twisty road, why some one had to throw her sideways.

Whats up with S2K drivers trying to drift and totally failing at it? (Broad generalization, I know, its not a serious comment, it just ties into the story below)
Long time ago (bout 5 years), back when our drift spot was still something of a mystery to the outside world, one of those outsiders somehow found his way to our spot on some information that another person should have kept to themselves (this ultimately led to more people coming out to watch us drift, and ultimately, the property owner PWNING our asses with a gate, security guard at night, and 100000tons of gravel in the back lot). This particular person was driving an S2K and decided to try it out. Not more than a few attempts in he completely understeers (came too hot into the turn) and goes over the curb, barely stopping before hitting some trees. Dodged a bullet right? Wrong, he completely ripped apart the bottom of his transmission teeter-tottering over the curb. I mean, none of us wished that upon the guy, it certainly sucked hard core. But damnit, if its your first night trying to drift, you should probably not try to do what the other guys (us) were doing because, hey, we have a bit of experience. Only reason it peeved me is because it started the downward spiral of our sacred saturday night drift spot being lost to us for all time. |

But at the same time, that why I don't share my road with anyone. It is a semi-busy road during the day, but anywhere after 10 its dead. Too bad it is so short though, and I live in Texas... so there is no uphill, no downhill... just alot of curves. But its a good driving road, for where I am anyway. |
i got a spot to go to late at night too... here in c-town tx . its 10 miles south of town on i-35 but its the access road that goes under the under pass and ends up on the other side of i-35 and yet again goes under the underpass to get back on the other side where you were before... great fun spot! i was able to drift there w/ a chevy s-10 (standard) i had at the time. when the weather gets better ill post some pics sometime. lol its kinda the texas touge! :burnrubber:

@4a: Hahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha, that kid better be glad he got away with that pitiful amount of damage / didn't get hurt. You gotta respect the road and you car (as a death machine) or you'll end up like that. |
