Change dashboard/speedo lighting?

Hi guys,

does anyone know how difficult it would be to change the dashboard lighting (got the base GT86 if that makes a difference) from the current redish/pink to a white as in the picture below.

And if it has been done before, a tutorial or guide as to how to do it?

You can look through the Shop Manual for the FR-S here:

It's pretty hefty and has disassembly of the interior panels in there. There would be a need for some soldering LEDs that's for sure. I really want to do this too, but there's so much that could go wrong when I do work on my car!

I really want to take a look into taking the instrument cluster off though. I'm tempted to give it a shot.

Edit: Found a great DIY for taking the dash and blocking the TPMS light. It's from another forum. It wouldn't let me post a link to it. I don't want to break the rules!

I believe there is a kit which changes the face colour... I was about to order it myself, but I wasn't too sure about whether the current redish/pink illumination changes with it.

Does anyone know if the illumination colour is resulting from the embedded LED's in the cluster or the cluster itself?

Keen to get this going asap as the standard redish/pink is starting to get me lol

You need to change out the leds themselves, its easy if you know what your doing. All you basically need to know is how to solder. I changed the color of my Hvac from that tacky amber to red.
