Preview test drives?
 

When I was following the Lexus CT200h, Lexus (Toyota) held events a few months before the car was available to buy, for the public to test drive the car. Any chance Scion will do this as well, or is the car getting enough press/attention as it is, and no need for this type of marketing/research?

Maybe, i think they did do i for the Gen2 TC so it is possible. I'm guessing only press and mag editors will get to do it though.

They should or else they're going to have to turn people away from test driving what little stock they have at the start.

They should be, but probably in CA only.

Come to think of it, when the New Mini Cooper came out, the dealer had two in stock - basically just for allowing test drives. You could buy it, but the point was to order one. Same thing when the TSX first came out. Test drove it only to find out it was a 6 week wait to get one. Or I could buy the tester for full sticker.

Hope I get to test drive the FRS before buying/ordering - but I get the feeling it's going to be the same story. Test drive and order and wait. Or pre-order without test drive.
