There's videos on YouTube about it.. they peel off easily.. but just apply a thick layer I.e. 2-3 coats..

Half a can per rim they say.. I got mine from bankstown Autobarn for 24.95

Get dipped! Ask for tommy!

davey90 10-22-2012 06:55 PM

are you dipping the spokes only or the whole wheel?

so once it gets dipped you can't wash the wheels aye, else its going to peel off?

Ah yes, but just water spraying them is alright I suppose?
I actually want to get wheels like Tibsy but they dont have them in black until Christmas...

So I want to dip the whole wheel to black! Kinda worried about how well it would look on it tho.. :bonk:

the guys at get dipped rekin its fine for washing... just use a sponge or microfibre mit and be a little careful.

i have my badges and mirrors done and its not like you have to baby it... its amazing stuff.

I've dipped so much on mine.. and I use normal car wash sponge and it's fine.. but it doesn't get dirty anyway on those parts.. rubber coating seems to just deflect dirt and water rinse all the dirt off. Except bird crap. Those Fu***n birds

davey90 10-22-2012 10:34 PM

bird poos are so lethal to cars lol!

the guys at get dipped quoted me for $250.Considering youll need at least 2 cans to do a proper job yourself (~$60) so its ~$200 for labour.

Tibsy 25 at autobarn is bloody cheap! I got mine for 34 a can :(

Since I'm getting Rotas soon, I won't bother with mine though.

I wanna do the front lip under grille bit! Looks mean.
